Having a safe warm bed at night, is something that I have often overlooked as a blessing. I do know that life doesn't always turn out as planned, and something such as the death of a spouse, or loss of a job and numerous other circumstances, can leave one homeless and on the streets.
Prescott Area Women's Shelter provides a safe place to rest nightly for woman and children. PAWS currently accommodates 22 guests, seven days a week.
When Jenny Bacon, owner of Nyla'D Salon and Boutique contacted me about photographing a fashion show and silent auction benefit, to raise support for such a wonderful organization, I was eager to help. The benefit had an amazing turnout and raised much support for PAWS.
Other local businesses like Livy Lou's, Salon St. Martin, Buckle, Manzanita Outdoor, Jenny Longhorn and Heart and Soul, provided the models and hair and makeup.
